French embroidered ecru linen bordure d'étagère/ dessus de cheminée from around the 1950s-60s.

This is a pretty example of red work butterflies and flowers. Typically made to ornate shelves and chimneys. Wonderful condition, no marks, just some loose stitching that can be corrected by a seamstress. This includes missing stitches to three of the scalloped edges. There are tiny fabric hooks for hanging this where you choose.
