Unique and one of a kind vintage customised French ‘Bleu de travail’ work wear jacket with Sashiko stitches, antique Kimono patch with original stitching and original visible darning. Made in France by ‘Adolphe Lafont’ this faded chore coat has great detail and retains most of its original charm with some up dates.

The jacket is in a wonderful worn condition. Fraying to front pockets, cuffs and collar and two small original repairs on the right arm with two teeny stains near these. Original oil marks from the previous owner and other very faint marks dotted about. The fading is wonderful with different hues of blue all over the jacket blending beautifully together.

There is a vintage Kimono patch with original Sashiko stitching and more stitches to the front right pocket and bottom left near the button holes. One pocket to the inside of the jacket with the ‘Adolphe Lafont’ label on it. ‘All but one original button.

This jacket is a limited edition stitched exclusively for Pomme de Jour by textile artist Woo Ahearne . This jacket is totally unique, stitched by hand using precious scraps of antique kimono to both gently mend and style the jacket whilst retaining its authenticity.
