1960s Customised French Moleskin Chore Coat With Sashiko

£260.00

Unique and one of a kind vintage customised French moleskin chore coat with Sashiko stitches, antique French ticking patches and visible darning. Made in France by ‘Adolphe Lafont’ this faded moleskin chore coat has great detail and retains all of its original charm with some new up dates.

The jacket itself is in a wonderful worn condition. Original oil marks from the previous owner and other very faint marks dotted about. The fade is perfect with different hues of blue all over the jacket blending beautifully together. One inner pocket with the ‘Adolphe Lafont’ label in red. The original buttons were long gone and have been replaced with complimenting vintage ones.

This jacket is a limited edition with the skilled needlework of Woo Ahearne who has been a stitcher and maker for over 30 years and has customised this jacket exclusively for Pomme de Jour. This jacket is totally unique, stitched by hand using precious scraps of vintage and antique fabrics to both gently mend and style the jacket whilst retaining its authenticity.
